Here we see a vigilante putting on his mask in a badly lit room, it could be a basement, their bedroom, an advanced headquarters, or even backstage! The title 'Shark Plague' came from a newspaper headline about a rise in the amount of shark sightings in Sydney beaches over the 08/09 summer - I thought it was more interesting to think of the 'Sharks' as a rapidly expanding street gang taking over the beaches with their finned masks - sorting out the riff raff etcetera - keeping it 'local' - making documentaries about themselves... 2009 107 x 76 cm (42 x 30") 2 Colour screenprint on 350gsm Arches 88 Edition of 6
